The following reviews are just my opinion. All artists and writers work hard to get their imaginations printed on paper and distributed out for all to see. They put their sweat and their reputations on the line every month just so we can pick them apart like vultures. To all those who work hard every day to achieve their comic book dreams…keep working! You can’t please everyone all the time. That being said…Let the carnage begin!
* Complete and unforgivable crap.
** There is definitely something better on TV?
*** Not bad, just not quite worth a recommendation.
**** Worth Reading
***** Definite Must Read!
****** Meets all expectations and should be read not once, not twice, but thrice.

I just wanted to point out a new title this week that deserves your consideration. Now I hate recommending something that will probably be sold out when you read this, but maybe you will find a copy online, or at (cough) another store. I can't believe I just typed that.

Just ignore whatever you might know about Dial H for Hero and it's history. I honestly don't care about that kind of thing when reviewing a new title. You can go around and around with how "it's not like it 'should' be". Well, what exactly does that mean? Anyway, Hero managed to do in it's first issue what most new titles have not done in a short while. It caught my attention immediately. Does that mean the series has a guarantee of being well written and entertaining? Simply put, the answer is no. However, most of the time, I can not tell from the first issue of a series whether I would add it to my reading list. I reluctantly follow a new title for 2 or 3 issues just to make up my mind. Not with Hero. I am actually looking forward to reading the next issue. *****
